As I understand it the materials for the battery cells are made in Korea, the battery packs are assembled here. (source: GM Press release, found via Google)

It does say made in the USA, just in the subheading. I’m pretty confident that this car (and its parts) are being made in Detroit and the surrounding areas based on other articles I’ve been reading.

Odd that it does not say made in USA.Just where is it and it’s batteries made???Ya know just asking.

My brother has been telling me for years that batteries cannot be made in the USA because of environmental and taxation rules generated by the left wing and environmentalist regulations. Is it possible he is wrong and that America can make these products competitive with nations with lax environmental rules and lax governmental regulation?
