The Maybach Laundalet is definitely elevating the rear seat experience for limos....but questions should be raised for safety considering the retractable soft top,as it would not provide the required roll-over protection in case of an accident, whereas a retractable hard-top would have fared better in areas concerning safety, it would have provided a mammoth engineering hurdle....also design wise it looks and feels a lot like the 62S its based upon which it shouldn't have considering exclusivity and the price-tag it commands.
Moreover Maybach alongwith Mercedes should have really moved over from its AirmaticDC considering the fact that its an old design and the Active Body Control in the S-Class fares much better when it comes to performance without sacrificing luxury. With Maybach streching the length of the Landaulet it should really have given it 4 wheel steer, a version of which does service in the BMW 7-series which again would have had an added impact on its handling mainly body-roll.
Again since its tailor made to be chauffeur driven and safety is of paramount importance it should have had employed Mercedes' 4Matic four wheel drive system which while enhancing traction would have added a zest in its performance.
