The easiest weight loss: Go on a diet yourself and see how easy it isnt, same for cars! Once a platform is established and crash tested and gov’t certified, its very costly to take weight out and go thru re-cert. again.

If you want less weight in a car, skip a lot of the addons like 12-speaker stereo, those speaker magnets weigh a lot for example, same for upsize wheels n tires… that alone can save 100′s of lbs…

New GT500 points way to Mustang weight reduction.Will Ford put the 5.0 on a diet,or at least make weight reduction pieces part of SVT catalogue.As an engineering exercise would it be possible to take 100-200 lbs.out of a Mustang GT without turning vehicle into an uncivilized entity.
Would appreciate replies with suggestions on weight reduction items.

l bought a 2010 tacoma a few months ago and had transmisson problems and my 4×4 v6 truck the tech said it was wired for fog lights which it wasn’t, l guess you needed afew buck,your making your trucks with less a charging more. thats pretty bad. this is my last one
