Chevrolet will in fact bring a Camaro Z28 to market some time in 2011 as a 2012 model year car to take on Ford’s Shelby GT500 Mustang. According to a report by Inside Line, the ultra-high-performance (were talking more ponies than a Z06 Vette here folks) Camaro Z28 is being held off slightly to put the focus on the Camaro Convertible. Nothing has been confirmed about the Z28, but it is expected to rumored to get the Cadillac CTS-V’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 – making close to that’s car’s 556-hp.

In addition, the rest of the 2012 model year Camaros will get a revised interior with updates made to the dash; particularly the area in front of the passenger. Hopefully the GM designers and engineers can find a way to add a bit more headroom too.

The camaro looks good but it would look better with the fog lights more in the middle like the 60s models instead of having them further out like they do now
