After a 12 year run, Volkswagen is finally winding down production of the New Beetle, with the company taking final orders for the car. No word on whether there will be a special edition to commemorate the end of production (similar to the Ultima Edicion for the last generation Beetle), but the New Beetle has definitely made its mark on the automotive landscape, and VW would be wise to commemorate their product with some kind of limited edition. A new Beetle is expected to debut in a couple years, and no details have been released. However most of the rumors pointed to a more focused, driver oriented car. Assuming the car rides on the same platform as the newest VW GTI, we should be in for a treat.

I’m thinking of buying a Polo 1.4S (80ps) 5d – has anyone any comments or tips of what I should be aware of? Is this a good running engine or should I go for a bigger engine – to be used for local mileage won’t be used on long-distances very much.
    Thanks
