Is this the all-new 2011 Chevrolet Aveo? Sort of. The photo above is one that has been retouched by the folks at AveoForum.com, using an original spy photo showing the Aveo out testing in its usual black and white camo. Sent to us by AveoForum member Darin Cosgrove, some artistic interpretation has been made. With the camo digitally altered it looks as though the Aveo keeps a pretty aggressive front grille while getting Chevy’s short windows. Either way, what you’re looking at is more likely to resemble the real thing than Chevy’s wild Aveo RS concept from last year’s Detroit Auto Show.
The upcoming Aveo has some tough competition in the sub-compact segment, with established models like the Yaris and Fit, not to mention Ford’s new Fiesta. We’re not sure how Chevy will fair on the final design and performance sides, but it’s easy to see that the Aveo should deliver plenty more cargo room than the three-door Fiesta hatch.
