Audi‘s new A1 model looks to be expanding, with reports that company execs are considering an Allroad version of the premium mini car. While the A6 Allroad was only sold in North American for a short period of time, Audi continues to sell an Allroad version of the latest A6 in Europe. It also recently announced an A4 Allroad for the European market. Like those two, the A1 Allroad would get a slightly higher ride height with flared fenders and special off-road-styled body cladding.
As silly as the concept sounds, Volkswagen did recently announce a similar model, the new CrossPolo (above) at the Geneva Auto Show.
There’s only one problem: the A1, unlike the rest of the Audi range, is only available as a front-wheel drive model.
