With two gasoline versions, a hybrid version and a powerful M model, you’d think there were enough different flavors of BMW‘s new X6. But over in Japan, the German automaker has just announced a limited production of a very limited edition special model called the Performance Unlimited X6. Just 20 versions will be built and sold at a hefty price of a little more than $105,000. We’re not sure the reasoning behind even making this model, but it’s worth reporting the accessories BMW has opted to put on it.
Starting with the standard X6, BMW went digging through their Performance and Individual Options list. On the outside, the X6 receives an aerodynamic kit sporting a front apron, side spoilers and rear diffuser. It then gets a limited edition set of 21-inch wheels, staggered of course, with 10-inch wide rollers in the front and 11.5-inch wide slabs in the rear. Lastly, the vehicle receives a special Silver Pearl paint finish and black kidney grilles.
Inside there are also a few upgrades with a Nevada leather finish in Chateau color with aluminum details.
As for what’s under the hood, this model is based on the X6 xDrive35i and so makes 300-hp from it’s turbocharged inline-six.
At the end of the day though, this is far short of an X6 M and at the price we’re not sure who this actually appeals to. But maybe that’s why there’s only 20 of them in a limited edition production. We guess BMW Japan will be able to sniff out 20 BMW enthusiasts to bite on it.
