After reading the reason why the Jaguar XF was recalled, I feel that all information need to be put out to all buyers of this model. I purchased a 2010 XF Jaguar 4.2 V8 and it had the same problem but worse. The car actually stop running after only 182 miles on it up until the fuel physically ran out of the ran. This took place at my home under my carport and that was very scary. I was given a report back in Nov 09 stating that nothing was wrong with the car as though they were trying to hide the defect. What the manufacter need to understand is that, people could actually get killed and cause servere injuries to others is this had occurred while driving back to work. I received an apology from the sales person and was given a new car in it's place, however, I received no apologies from the manager or higher ups and I had to pay to get the fuel cleaned up from my carport. Luckly there was no spark because my house could have been burned down also. This has truly been an experience owning such a beautiful car. I still have some problem areas with this one also because sometimes it don't want to go in drive. I have reported this problem yet but will be taking it back to the dealer to have this checked out also.
