Mercedes-Benz is readying a coupe version of their C63 AMG, to compete with the current bevy of super coupes like the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, BMW M3 and Audi RS5.

The C63 AMG Coupe will use the now-redundant 6.2L V8 along with Mercedes’ new 7-Speed MCT automatic. Power is expected to be 450 horsepower for the base car, with AMG offering a performance package that will bump output to 480 horsepower.

Designed specifically to compete with the German and American offerings, a C63 Coupe Black Series is also rumored to be in the works, and should help take performance to the next level, especially in light of the Europe-only M3 GTS.

Mercedes-Bendz C63 AMG is one of a kind,it is excellent, classic, ellegent and one of the most “BEST” fast performing cars made by Mercedes-Bendz.It is one of my biggest wishes to see my self driving a C63 or ML65 one day even if it happens sooner that wouldn’t be a problem either. Mercedes-Bendz is the best “showcase”!!!!

Went to Germany to pick up a C class for my wife in 2009 it was a great expierience. They were so so nice at the European delivery center. Now I hope they will make the coupe with the 6.2 engine and not the 5.5 with twin turbos. Ther is nothing like a raw natural aspirated engige. I’m mostly into SL’s but a C63 would be a nice street racer to take me any where in no time.
