New Dealerships to Open in Harlem Auto Mall

Otis Thornton (left) and Craig Lee take delivery of their first shipment of General Motors vehicles as they prepare to open their new dealerships in the Harlem Auto Mall in New York City, Tuesday, February 14, 2006. The Harlem Auto Mall will be one of the largest auto sales and service centers in New York City, and the opening will mark the first time in more than 40 years that customers will be able to shop and get their vehicles serviced by a franchised auto dealer north of 72nd Street. Thornton, a GM dealer since 1993, owns and will operate Chevrolet-Saturn of Harlem. Lee is president and executive manager of Potamkin Cadillac-HUMMER of Harlem. Both dealerships are set to open by March 1, 2006. (General Motors/Mel Nudelman)
