Word on the street is that the Ford is gearing up build a new, high-end, low-volume halo car. This new car is the highly anticipated follow up to the GT40-inspired Ford GT, made especially for its 100th anniversary back in 2003.
What’s even more surprising is that suggestions are flying around to turn this car into a fuel-efficient, or electric, low-/no-emissions “green” model. Not exactly what comes to mind when you think of a traditional performance car, is it?
Then again, many automakers are currently working towards bringing green supercars to market, with Porsche having recently confirmed the 918 Spyder hybrid for production, while both Audi and Mercedes are working on electric models set to debut over the next few years.
