Ever wanted to collect one of the world’s most famous vehicles? Here’s your chance. The only working test car for the Enzo is now available for purchase with an unknown price tag. This is the only prototype Enzo that ever left Ferrari‘s factory and comes with all the factory certification.

A true collector’s car, this prototype Enzo features a more powerful V12 with approximately 670-hp, which is about 30-hp more than what was offered in the production Enzo. The prototype weighs in at just a few pounds over 3,000.

Unfortunately no pricing could be found, but if you have to ask you most certainly can’t afford it.

Ladies and gentlemen, the 2011 Dakar Rally is almost upon us, though like the last two events, it will be run exclusively in South America (in Argentina and Chile). So in truth it should probably be called the Patagonia Rally, since Dakar is in Senegal, Africa and the event hasn’t been run there since 2007 because of security issues.

Nevertheless, name issues or not, as in past years, the 2011 Dakar, which begins on January 1st,  promises to be an exciting and grueling event. And if you can’t get in the action physically, then you can ride along with the Toyo Tires/Speed Energy team which is campaigning two Hummer H3s, one of which (shown above) is to be driven by legendary NASCAR hotshoe Robby Gordon and co-driver Kellon Walsh, who will attempt to win the 5,903  mile event.

In order to monitor their progress, Toyo Tires has put up a Dakar blog which which chronicles the adventures of the team leading up to and during the event. It features written posts, videos and photos, allowing fans up to the minute information relating to the progress of the two Hummers as they traverse the unforgiving terrain on each stage. Chances are, if you own an electric car are or thinking of buying one, you’d pass on a fat-filled, processed McCardiac Arrest in favor of a ‘tasty’ granola bar. But would you stop at a McDonald’s to charge up your EV? (They do offer salads, after all).  That’s what a Micky D’s in West Virginia is counting on, as it’s the first fast-food restaurant to be equipped with Level 2 electric car charging stations.

Located in Huntington, West Virginia, this McDonalds celebrated its grand opening recently (and as a side note, it replaced the first-ever West Virginia McDonald’s) and showed their plug-in electric vehicle station.

Although the town doesn’t have that many electric vehicles going through the drive thru just yet, that doesn’t worry Tom Wolf, the new McDonald’s owner and operator. “I wanted to offer this capability to show our customers that this new technology is here when they are ready to take advantage of it,” said Wolf.

In a world where there’s something for everyone, German tuner Graf Weckerle has introduced its extravagant tuning package for Aston Martin‘s V8 Vantage. The end result is definitely not our cup of tea, but we admit the German tuner does have a way of doing something very unique.

Blending history and culture with Aston Martin’s modern design, this V8 Vantage was released in order to honor French champagne makers. Dubbed Blanc de Blancs, this particular Graf Weckerle project is named after the famous Chardonnay champagne. We’re not quite sure if those wheels would do any favors to any vehicle, but they’re definitely one-of-a-kind.

We’re also digging the unique spin they did on the photoshoot – can’t say we’ve ever seen anything like it before.

We’ve reported several times that Ferrari‘s replacement for the 612 Scaglietti will debut at the Geneva Auto Show and that it will be an AWD hybrid, but now some official specs have reportedly leaked out.

According to a knowledgeable source on TeamSpeed, the new luxury exotic (code named 151) will be powered by a 6.3-liter V12 engine paired with the automaker’s 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, making an incredible 670-hp. Rumored to be a hybrid, it’s not clear how much (if any) of that power will be electric assist.

The leaked specs claim a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 208-mph.

The next 612 is also rumored to feature an unconventional rear hatch design and continue to offer seating for four.

Chrysler has just announced two separate recalls affecting the Dodge Journey and Dodge Ram 1500 pickup.

A total of 65,180 Dodge Journey models are affected dating from the 2009 model year. The issue involves wires in a wiring harness that could break over time, causing the side airbags to not deploy in a crash.

No accidents or injuries have been reported in association with the issue and Chrysler says that were the wires to break, the driver would be alerted by a light on the dash.

The Dodge Ram 1500 recall involves a rear axle bearing that could seize, potentially causing a crash. A total of 56,611 vehicles are covered by the recall.

According to Chrysler, the bearings were not sufficiently lubricated when installed and so the issue should become obvious within the first several hundred miles put on the truck.

Owners of both vehicles will be notified in February.

When most people think about Saudi Arabia, they think about a country that produces 10-million barrels of crude oil every day, a country where temperatures in the summer can reach over 130-degrees, and a country where the Sheikhs live in mansions bigger than some high-end resorts.

While there is a huge car culture there, with the well-to-do acquiring just about every exotic car ever made, the country isn’t known for producing its own car.

That is all about to change, as the King Saud University (KSU) announced recently that it has signed a $500-million deal with South Korea’s Digm Automotive Technology, to produce the nations first ever production car.

KSU surprised everyone when it showed a concept vehicle at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show called the Gazal-1, based on the Mercedes G-Class platform. Now this forward thinking university has set up a fund, where it will come up with 10 to 15 percent of the investment, Digm will contribute about 30 percent and the rest to be covered by investors.

KSU president Abdullah Al-Othman said the first car will be a five-passenger vehicle. He added, “Our aim is to market a low-cost car of high quality priced at between SR35,000 and SR45,000, ($9,300 to $12,000).”

The aim is to have the car ready in about two-years, and in the beginning the car will be marketed in its home country, plus other neighboring Arab nations and North African countries.

The undisputed king of automotive-themed rap songs is Rick Ross, whose “Maybach Muzik 2″ and “Aston Martin Muzik” have provided back to back bangers for hip-hop junkies who also like six-figure whips.

At the bottom of the scale we have a gentleman named C.KhiD, an up and coming rapper who didn’t take the advice of countless fore-bearers and “keep it real”. Instead, he joined in a horrible collaboration with Jeep to create “2011 Jeep Wrangler Music”. While only one of Autoguide’s staff is into hip-hop, we could smell a rat immediately, and it only took one listen for us to declare the song as “worse than the  Sebring “.

This type of marketing is so transparently uncool that it will probably turn off anyone who comes into contact with the song. Even more astonishing is that Jeep sponsored this guy for a tour (according to the press release below) but Jay-Z’s one line in “On To The Next One”, where he talks about how he “bought a Jeep, tore the m*********ing doors off” probably did more for the brand than any youth-oriented marketing campaign ever could.

Well, what else is there to say…? Aside from the lame video game introduction, there is no way that you, a reader of AutoGuide, do not want to be this guy, ripping through the heart of a tropical metropolis in one of the greatest Ferraris, the 360 Challenge Stradale of all time.

Turn the speakers all the way up and marvel as this guy displays absolute disregard, bordering on contempt, for the lives of innocent bystanders, and the flimsy rule of law that exists in Brazil.

Few people pay attention to minivans, but an interesting sales war is heating up, with what could be Chrysler’s first major sales victory in their post-bailout era.

Chrysler‘s Town & Country minivan, which just underwent a pretty substantial refresh, is the leading minivan according to sales data, moving 102,495 units through November. The perennial leader, the Honda Odyssey, trailed by about 4500 units, amid a surging minivan market. Toyota’s Sienna is over 10,000 units behind the Chrysler.

It seems unlikely that the Odyssey will prevail, and 2011 is sure to be an interesting year if the upward sales of minivans continues, especially with a predicted rise in gas prices.
