BMW‘s next M5 might just be the most eagerly anticipated car of the year and thanks to some leaked photos from a recent event in Munich, you no longer have to wait until the Frankfurt Auto Show this fall to see what it looks like.

Truth be told, this is not the actual 2012 M5, but a concept version of the car that very closely resembles the production model. The car was supposed to be kept under wraps until the Shanghai Auto Show later this month, but a selection of pics have leaked out from a Russian web site.

No official details have been divulged, but the next M5 will come powered by a twin-turbo V8 making at least 555-hp; and unlike its predecessor, it will also have torque.

Wow. You guys are actually right about something. That old NA V10 was a dud unless you had it pinned past 5000 rpm.
