If Porsche was a ship, it would be on the bottom of the ocean right now thanks to a steady leak that just keeps growing. News about the limited edition GT3 RS 4.0 model has been trickling out for quite some time now, but now we have a selection of photos to share.

No official details are confirmed, but reports indicate just 600 versions of this ultra hard-core GT3 RS model will be available, with the larger displacement engine now producing 500-hp. Look for an even lighter curb weight thanks to the use of carbon fiber components, with pricing at or over the $200,000 mark.

Now this is what I like to see from Porsche. Only if I had $200 000 laying around I would be on my way to Porsche to place an order for one of these.

All we need to see now is a video of the Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 on the Nurburgring =)

Sorry, don’t get it. Why get excited about a car that hasn’t had a design change in 40 years. They didn’t get it right then and they haven’t improved.

It’s a nice car and I wouldn’t turn one down for free but every time I see one I go “wow.. did someone crush a VW bug and throw racing stipes on it?”

If they didn’t get it right they would have changed, like American manufacturers. It has only needed minor changes for 40 years because it was so close to perfection the first time.
