To the surprise of exactly no one, Lamborghini will offer a roadster version of its latest range-topping Aventador for those among us who think the regular coupe is just too humdrum.
It seems that the Aventador was just released last week, but that hasn’t stopped Lamborghini from considering a successor to the Murcielago and Diablo VT droptops—just in time to face off against the convertible Pagani and Ferrari 458 Italia. Hopefully the drop-top Aventador will sport more than the Murcielago’s Boy Scout tent.
Since the Aventador is sold out for the next 18 months, the earliest the roadster could come is in 2012, just when the world will end. No surprise there that a Lamborghini is going to have a hand in it.
