Ahead of its planned debut, a selection of photos of the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series have hit the net, along with some very juicy info. The hardest-core Black Series version will reportedly weigh 44 lbs less than the C63 Coupe, while adding plenty of extra power when compared to the C63 sedan.
Rather than that car’s 451-hp, the Black Series will deliver 510-hp with 472 lb-ft of torque, using a nearly-identical powerplant to the one found under the hood of the SLS. This does, however, come as somewhat of a shock as many had expected one of the new twin-turbo V8 engines to arrive under the hood.
Full details aren’t yet available, but you can expect light weight forged alloy wheels, massive brakes, a wider stance (those flared fenders don’t lie), a stripped down interior (check out those carbon-backed seats) and a rock-hard suspension.
Now if only we could get it with the SLS’s dual-clutch transmission.
