Two National Guard Light Medium Tactical Vehicles were entirely submerged during the Hurricane Irene aftermath, and the action was captured on video.

The two trucks drove through the deep water in downtown Manville. They managed to drive about a block  before either water got into the engine or the drivers ran out of breath. At one point when the trucks stop, the men climb out of the trucks and appear to be unable to swim.

Check it out for yourself after the jump!

Well lets think about this. They are there to HELP. They see the water and have no idea the road depth from the water line. They start heading in thinking hey, where ok. Then they they find out just how deep it really is and have no choice but to keep going because its to late to do anything including trying to turn around. Lets cut them some slack, im sure they got into a world of shit with the higher ups.Oh well…they tried.
