The most “efficient” car is the one that serves a variety of purposes, of which you drive for 10 yrs, or more. In my case it’s an 2000, E150 Ford van.

MPGe is a stupid, useless number. It is a marketing gimic meant to make people feel better about driving a car that cannot even get them from Columbus to Indianapolis in one drive. Why anyone falls for MPGe baffles me.

A better number to rate electric cars is giving two max mile measurements. The city one at 25 MPG, the highway number at 65 MPG.
