Chrysler Introduces Dodge Durango Special Service Vehicle

The fire fighters, police officers, and paramedics who work hard every day depend on their vehicles and to cater to these individuals, Dodge has just introduced its Durango Special Service edition.

The Durango Special Service is designed with long lasting durability as its top priority. The special service edition will come standard with the 3.6L V-6 Pentastar engine, or if you want to upgrade, a 360 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine is also an option. Additional heavy duty components will be added to the special service Durango in order to make it a more reliable long lasting vehicle, it will receive a larger brake package, heavy-duty battery, bigger water pump and engine cooler and a larger output 220-amp alternator.

The interior of the Durango Special Service also has more cargo space thanks to the deletion of the third row seat and under-floor storage compartments with additional storage in the side compartments. Other interior modifications include wiring prep for an exterior spot lamp and a special service dome lamp and headliner.

The Dodge Durango Special Service rounds out the brands lineup of fleet-geared police and fire vehicles, which already offers a RAM 1500 police truck and the Charger Pursuit.
