4. 2008 Ford Taurus: $2,670

The full-sized Ford Taurus isn’t a flashy car. It doesn’t have a go-fast attitude, or a sexy design. It’s a perfectly hum-drum vehicle, which is what makes it a cheap vehicle to insure for teenagers. Add in the fact that it gets perfect scores across the board by NHTSA, and you’ve got one of the safest vehicles out there.

Notice that they ALL have four doors. if you buy the same Civic, ACCord, etc, in a 2-door coupe, the insurance will likely double! Insurance Co’s like to call them “sports cars”!

Is the Fusion really number 10 or should the 5-year cost actually be $2,980?

  • Turd Fergeson

I don’t know why anyone would want just 2 doors anyway, so double-win!  Affordable 2-door coupes are tacky. It serves them right for masquerading about as sports cars.

Having just looked at Honda Civics, Accords and the CRV (all used), the CRV was the cheapest to insure, followed by the Accord and then the Civic.  We called our agent at the dealership to see which would be cheapest, bout a $900 difference from CRV to Civic.

Useless article is useless. Your average teenager wouldn’t come close to being able to afford these cars, and the ones that can are the spoiled brats with parents that are loaded, and those types of people won’t give two shits about insurance costs.

How much would insurance cost for a 2006 ford fusion

  • James Shaffer

Teens are poor and probably can’t afford any of the cars listed.
I think the best thing to do would be to compare rates from different companies just to see what the cheapest policy you can buy is.
I hear 4AutoInsuranceQuote advertising on the radio all the here claiming $49/month coverage for teens. They might be worth a shot.

SCAM ALERT!!! DO NOT apply online at that “4AutoInsuranceQuote”…it is a SCAM that only takes you personal info for marketing or worse. It does NOT give a quote. AFTER you give them all of your info, they only forward you to a page with links to other insurance companies websites.
