Commuting into town can be one of the most miserable parts of your day. A group of students at College@Home has done some research to find out exactly what your commute is doing to you mentally and physically.
Some of the information here is blindingly obvious, for example people who are stuck in traffic are generally angrier, but there is some unique information here as well. Did you know that couples where one partner has a 45 minute long commute are 40% likelier to get a divorce?
Another interesting stat: Annually, 96,000 heart attacks in the US are attributed to traffic.
