Mercedes-Benz‘s high end tuning affiliate, AMG, has just opened its very first standalone dealership in the worlds largest Auto market, China.
Until now, AMG vehicles have been offered to customers at specially designated Mercedes-Benz dealerships, known as AMG performance centers. The idea was that you could go into a dealership and cross shop the regular old S-class against the Sl 63 AMG version sitting right next to it.
Thanks to China’s huge demand for bespoke luxury vehicles, AMG can afford to operate a stand alone dealership without the need for Mercedes cars to be in the same showroom. Sanlitun Village North luxury shopping mall is the location of this unique AMG performance center, fitting it in among all sorts of other luxury shops in Beijing’s leading ‘trend conscious’ shopping center.
To complete the luxury package, all 195 AMG performance centers worldwide are outfitted with avant-garde architecture, exclusive furniture and a huge AMG badge on the wall. The Chinese AMG dealership was also designed with events planning in mind, and encompasses a large area, which has already been used for the official real world unveiling of the G63 AMG.
