Marking the first time an AMG car will complete in a pro racing series in North America in over 20 years, Evosport and MBBS Racing have revealed a purpose-built Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series Race Car.

The CLK63 AMG Black Series race car will compete in the SCCA World Challenge GT series against cars like the 911 GT3, Ferrari F430 and Audi R8, not to mention factory backed teams from Volvo and Cadillac.

Set to hit the track at Mid-Ohio on August 3, the car, built by Evosport Engineering, was unveiled last week at the tuner and race shop’s performance center in Huntington Beach, CA. Piloting the car during will be MBBS Racing team Principal and Manager, not to mention Grand Am Cup Champion, Craig Stanton.
