In late March, Monster Tajima decided that breaking the 10-minute barrier at the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb wasn’t enough. The seasoned veteran wanted to a set a new record, but this time in an EV.
Dubbed the Monster Sport E-RUNNER Pikes Peak Special, Monster Tajima unveiled his newest racer that not only looks revolutionary, but is poised to set a new record. It sports a full carbon fiber body, a pair of electric motors, and regenerative brakes. Unfortunately no other details were released on the new EV racer, but Tajima is confident that he will not only capture his seventh straight Unlimited Class win, but set a new EV record with his eyes set on a new overall best time.
It would be all too easy to compare Tajima’s new race car to the Batmobile – which is really does resemble – but it’s definitely the slickest of the EVs we’ve seen that plan on tackling the Pikes Peak Hill Climb this year.
