Running from 0-60 in less than 2.8 seconds, boasting 1,088 hp and 2,800 lb-ft of torque and a 375-mile range — surely this car is a thing of myth.
Surely not, in fact it’s called the Rimac Concept One and it’s very real. For a scant sticker price of nearly $1 million you can feel the awesome power that this plug-in electric car creates. Built in Croatia of all places, the Concept One takes advantage of all-wheel drive and uses four in-wheel electric motors capable of rocketing to speed.
It originally debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, but is now gaining more media traction. Rimac says there will only be 88 units made, with production slated to begin next year. Orders are already coming in, so if you’re looking for an EV that can embarrass anything you’ll ever meet at a stoplight then the time to act is now.
