After getting a sneak peek inside the car earlier this year through our spy photos, expect the Cayman’s interior to be strongly based on the 2013 Boxster, which we saw last March in Geneva. It’s also expected to pack more horsepower, with 280 versus the cabrio Boxster’s 265. Of course that figure will climb again in the Cayman S version, which is expected to carry 330 hp.
Look for the coupe to lose some weight too after the Boxster dropped 55 lbs. That will mean better fuel economy and probably more agile handling in the upcoming 2013, which will go on sale either late this year or early next.
