The 24 hours of Le Mans is set to run this weekend, and with qualifying now over, the starting lineup has been revealed with Audi sitting on the pole.

The first and second positions in the race are held by the four-rings brand, the pole car being a R18 e-tron and the second place an Audi performance diesel. In third, as arguably Audi’s biggest rival in the race, is the Toyota TS030 hybrid. The top five is rounded out by the second Audi hybrid in fourth, and the second Toyota Hybrid in fifth.

The lap time which put Audi on the pole was 3:23.787, marking almost a two second increase over last years pole position qualifying time.

The new hybrid technology along with the Nissan Delta Wing concept race car will undoubtedly be the focus of the race this year, and should make for some interesting competition.
