Lotus Prepares to Headline Goodwood

Lotus Prepares to Headline Goodwood

Goodwood is this weekend and will feature British sports car manufacturer Lotus, a highlight for the brand’s year after company CEO Dany Bahar was dismissed only to rebut with a lawsuit.

The coming weekend’s event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for the brand to flaunt more than a few models young and old. A grand total of 40 Lotus cars will run the hill this year including the Exige R-GT rally car, selections from the company’s F1 history, Exige S and much more.

Well-heeled enthusiasts will also have the chance to bid on 24 different Lotus cars which will also span the company’s history from a Type 11 all the way to three unnamed concept cars.

Finally, the brand will also be displaying its Evora 414E Range Extender Electric Vehicle, which makes 408 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque and can fling the car from 0-60 mph in about four seconds. It will also display its SABRE engine, which according to the brand offers the same power as a 2.2-liter inline-four with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine.

We’ll be watching to keep tabs on the action and see which mystery cars are sold so be sure to check back during the event from June 29 through July 1.
