With production now confirmed, Mercedes-Benz is out testing the CLA, a small coupe that is going to appear as a downsized CLS.
Based on the CLC concept, the CLA style looks to be a cross between the front end of the new A-Class, and the rear of the CLS. A small spoiler is added onto the back as well, hinting at the sporty character of the car. The CLA shares its chassis with the new A-Class, and will be built in an all new MB plant in Hungary.
Running the CLA is likely going to be a 201 hp turbocharged 1.8-liter found in the current C-Class. A 6-speed manual is rumoured to be an option, while a 7-speed automatic is very likely for the car. An AMG variant could also come to fruition, using a turbocharged four cylinder engine that will produce more than 335 hp. Front and all-wheel drive should both be available.
