Volkswagen will be showcasing four new models at the upcoming Auto Mobil International (AMI) show in Leipzig, from the CC, Scirocco, Beetle, and Polo ranges.
The Scirocco GTS celebrates 30 years of the Scirocco model’s success with a special model featuring white paint contrasted by black racing stripes, further accented by narrow red stripes on the hood, roof, and rear hatch. Packing 207-hp from its 2.0-liter turbo engine, the stylish Scirocco also gets custom front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear diffuser, and roof spoiler. 18-inch wheels set off each corner of the sports car while bright red calipers can be seen behind each roller. On the inside, black leather interior features red stitching while the ‘dimpled golf ball’ shift knob pays homage to the original 1982 Scirocco GTS.
Coinciding with the launch of the CrossPolo launch in Germany, VW will have a special ‘Urban White’ model on display at Leipzig. The classy shade of white is actually called “Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect” and can only be ordered on the special CrossPolo model. Also exclusive to the ‘Urban White’ model are the 17-inch ‘Budapest’ wheels that are available in black or white. Standard features also include sport seats in a combination of fabric and alcantara, climate and cruise control, and the RCD 210 radio/CD system. Unfortunately, Volkswagen withheld photos of the CrossPolo ‘Urban White’ from its release, but did announce pricing will start at $23,530 (€18,975).
