All the Chevrolet Volts around the world have collectively driven more than 100 million miles, with over 60 percent of those miles driven on pure electric power.

On the Volt’s official website, Chevy keeps a real-time tally of the number of miles all Volts and Amperas around the world have driven, thanks to OnStar. Impressively enough, at the time of this writing, Volts have traveled over 63 million miles collectively on pure EV power, which has saved over 3.3 million gallons of gas.

There are approximately 25,000 Volts and Amperas out on the roads worldwide today and it’s quite the milestone for the American automaker’s range extended electric car. After a rough start, the Volt is definitely turning around, easily trumping the Nissan Leaf’s sales so far in 2012.
