Live Racing Announcer Tom Hnatiw Passes Away

One of the most well-known live racing announcers and frequent contributor to a wide array of automotive publications has passed away. Tom Hnatiw (pictured on left) was the current spokesperson for NARRA, and founder of Internal Combustion Group.

Hnatiw was also the former voice of the SCCA World Challenge Series, and the host of SPEED Channel’s Dream Car Garage and Sports Car Revolution. Chances are, if you like cars, you’ve watched Tom work his magic in front of the mic. His Canadian-based company, Internal Combustion Group, was dedicated to bringing the best in automotive television, and will undoubtedly be missed by millions of fans around the country.

Tom leaves behind a thirty-year career in motorsports and was involved in the production of over 500 shows related to the automotive world.
