Along with the RS5, Audi also revealed a special entrant from Ducati, saying, “Audi and Ducati are teaming up at Pikes Peak to celebrate their common heritage at this iconic mountain.” This set of photos shows a fully liveried RS5 and a pair of dressed up Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak editions, though no information is available yet on the bikes or the car.
The regular RS5 uses a 4.2-liter V8, sourced from the R8, with 444 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a seven-speed S tronic transmission, the RS5 uses Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system, which is crucial for a hill climb like Pikes Peak. The standard coupe can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed which has been electronically limited at 155 mph.
Full stats on the car should be released later on today.
