Lexus has just posted a video of its IS-F CCS-R screaming up Pikes Peak during last weekend’s hill climb, placing second in its class.

Ken Gushi took the car up the Colorado mountain in 11 minutes and 35.17 seconds. The second place in class finish in exhibition class is behind a highly modified V12 car.

At course elevation, naturally-aspirated cars experience diminished power due to thin air. This means hat Lexus had to make the most of the 5.0-liter V8 and 8 speed automatic by using a carbon-fiber body. The light body takes 700lbs off the waistline of the IS-F and the engine is tuned to 416 hp.
