Despite “Monster” Tajima not completing the Pikes Peak Hill Climb this year because of smoke coming out of the motor, he did make a qualifying run that GoPro caught on camera.
Anyone who makes jokes about EVs should watch the footage below. With little more than a whine from the electric motors, Tajima can be seen making his way up the newly-paved course at hair raising speeds.
It’s almost impossible to get a true sense of how fast he was going from watching the video, but seeing his launch and watching how quickly the trees start to whip by can give you a decent idea.
