I am waiting for the Mazda 3 hatchback to add more cargo space behind the back seats. That is the only area they are lacking in and the only reason I have not purchased this car.

This would be a solid transition to the kodo design language. If the next 3 closely resembles this, sheds weight, and keeps the tight handling and responsive steering I think Mazda will have great success with the next generation 3.

I honestly love my 2010 mazdaspeed and that is with the goofy grille. If they make a more economical mazdaspeed that looks anything like this, I can foresee a trade in on the horizon I just hope the hatchback doesn’t start to look to much like a miniature cx-5…

I wonder if they’ll throw the drive by wire into this (hope not…). Since it looks like the 2014 Mazda 6 wagon won’t be coming to America, I may wait for this (C/D has a nice mashup of the new 6 and a 3). They will be made in Mexico though…

I hope Mazda won’t tone it down too much.. The 6 is too big for this kind of curvy styling, the 3 clad in this body will look nice.
