This year, BMW is celebrating 25 years of V12 engines, which started back in 1987 when the then groundbreaking powerplant debuted in the 750iL.

The 2013 BMW 760Li V12 25 Years Anniversary Edition will be limited to just 15 vehicles in North America, and can be special ordered only for BMW Center delivery early next year. Its starting price tag will be $159,695 including destination and handling.

Powered by a 6.0-liter Twin Turbo V12 engine, the 760Li features 535-hp and 550 lb-ft of torque helping it hit 60-mph in just 4.5 seconds. As for the V12 25 Years Edition, it’ll be built with BMW Individual Champagne Full Merino Leather with black piping, exclusive to the model. The black contrast piping is further complimented by black floor mats and rear footrests, while the door sills, headrests, and iDrive controllers feature “V12 25 Years Edition” badging.

The special edition flagship sedan will also receive rear seat entertainment with iDrive control, 20-inch Individual wheels, an Alcantara headliner finished in Champagne, all pillars done in black leather, rear parcel shelf in Anthracite Alcantara, BMW Individual Piano Black wood trim, Piano Black wood inlay in the steering wheel, and Shadowline exterior trim.

Those 15 buyers interested in getting the special edition 760Li will be able to choose from a full range of exterior colors offered by the German automaker, as well as additional options to make it truly their own.
