Inexpensive family sedans still held the majority in the AutoGuide most researched new cars list this week, though the workhorse Ford F-150 and rowdy Jeep Wrangler roared in, nearly knocking the mundane Toyota Corolla from the list.

Given that both the Corolla and F-150 are the top two best-selling vehicles of all time, it’s hardly a surprise that either are making the list. What’s more surprising is that the Kia Rio was a more popular choice this week than the critically acclaimed Hyundai Elantra. Even more surprising, the Wrangler was a more popular choice this week than the Corolla, which is the world’s number one seller.
