Interesting article. I preordered a BRZ and after getting persistent delays from the dealer I ended up driving the FRS and bought a Whiteout Auto FRS. I use it mainly for a short commute to work and weekends on the curviest roads I can find and couldn’t be happier…I would rather enjoy this great driver’s car, than spending time complaining about what it doesn’t have.

No, you sir are the idiot: BRZ is faster around a race track than the FRS, because the FRS is tail happy and the BRZ is better balanced. Check out the Motor Trend comparison with BRZ, FRS, Miata, Mustang V6, Genesis Coupe for details.

These are the exact same car with the slightest of styling in the body. The subaru also offers a manual but I am still upset it isn’t an awd…

I’m sure if he had a 6MT instead of the slushbox he had, he’d be singing a different tune.

The BRZ doesn’t have that ghetto stereo, and tacky carbon-fiber crap on the interior too. And those headlights are just plain sexy.

It seems to me that the biggest difference between the two is the transmission and the sat nav system, everything else is merely subjective. Personally I like the FR-S, however, either one is a great driver’s car.
