Hot Wheels Camaro Revealed as a Toy for Big Boys

A year to the day that Chevrolet revealed its Hot Wheels Camaro concept car at the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, the idea has become a reality.

Delivering full-size fun for big boys, the Camaro Hot Wheels Edition can be had as a package on coupe and convertible Camaro models in 2LT (V6) or 2SS (V8) trims and is available exclusively in a Kinetic Blue paint scheme. The outside comes adorned with the Camaro ZL1’s rear spoiler and front upper grille, with a custom body kit, a two-tone matte hood, Black 21-inch wheels with red outline stripes, Hot Wheels logos and, of course, flame graphics on the fenders.

Inside the muscle car gets black leather with red and black seat stitching, and Hot Wheels logos embroidered on the front seats, plus flame logos on the doors and Hot Wheels Edition sill plates.

Standard is Chevy’s MyLink infotainment system including a 7-inch color touch screen with available navigation.

Set to go on sale in early 2013, a limited edition number of Camaro Hot Wheels Edition models will be produced says Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “And like the collectable toys on which it is based – when they’re gone, they’re gone.”

Unfortunately the orange race track comes sold separately.
