Joining the Cosworth Hyundai Genesis Coupe at the 2012 SEMA Show, there will be a custom “Velocity” Veloster concept built by collaboration with the Hyundai Design and Technical Center.

Cosworth was in charge of providing the engine performance enhancements for the Veloster Turbo, powered by a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder powerplant with 400 hp. The well-known engine tuners fabricated a custom turbo upgrade for the Veloster, while larger fuel injectors, a custom fuel rail, an upgraded fuel pump, a larger throttle-body intake manifold, and custom intercooler round off the new turbo kit.

In addition, Cosworth equipped the Veloster with a custom wiring harness and SQ6 engine management system.

Unfortunately no photos were released of the “Velocity” Veloster, but we look forward to seeing it when the 2012 SEMA Show kicks off.
