Both the driver and passenger walked away unhurt, but the car isn’t so lucky. The car is burnt to a crisp after its crash, which took place at the Döttinger Höhe section of the Nürburgring – a 1.5-mile straightaway. The fire revealed that the car uses aluminum architecture rather than the SLS Electric Drive’s carbon fiber monocoque.
Earlier this week, spy photos of what is presumably the same car showed the car wearing a large rear spoiler. When it debuts, the SLS AMG Black Series is expected to have a lighter curb weight than predecessors and is rumored to offer 600 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
