Debuting at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive is the most powerful car AMG has ever produced, and today a video has been released of the car racing around the Ascari race track in Malaga, Spain.
The first, and most obvious element missing from the video is an exhaust note. The sound of air passing over the car doesn’t do justice to the 740 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque that are available from the four electric motors.
The sprint from 0-60 mph takes a scant 3.9 seconds, although charging time is pegged at 20 hours with a conventional wall plug and three hours with a quick charger. Overall range is rated at 155 miles.
