A shootout between the Hyundai Elantra GT and Mazda3 Hatchback takes the top spot as the most read review this week on AutoGuide.
Fuel efficiency is a major selling point for both of these cars. The Mazda3 Hatchback is rated at 27 mpg city and 38 mpg highway, while the Elantra gets a slightly better 27 mpg city, 39 mpg highway. The next vehicle on the list, the new 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, also finds itself downsizing in search of better fuel economy. This year, the Pathfinder moves to unibody construction rather than body on frame as it was previously.
The Ford Mustang GT review ranks third, a car that isn’t about fuel efficiency, but V8 power and performance. Next up is some exotic power in the form of the 2013 Porsche 911, a car that is at home on the track, or as a daily driver. Last on the list is the newest version of the Ford Fusion, starting at $21,700. The new Fusion offers a range of Ecoboost engines, and a hybrid variant good for 47 mpg.
