Each year, Scion hosts the Tuner Challenge pitting three of the nation’s top builders against one another to show off what its cars can do with some creativity and hard work. As the winner was announced at last year’s Tuner Challenge, Scion promised that it would deliver a trio of FR-S models for the 2012 SEMA Show.
As we write this post, all three builders are working around the clock to put the finishing touches on their projects. The Japanese automaker meanwhile has begun teasing this year’s Scion FR-S Tuner Challenge with a video. All three builders, John Toca, Daniel Song, and Chris Basselgia were handed a stock 2013 Scion FR-S, a budget of $15,000 and three months to complete their build.
The three projects will be unveiled at this year’s SEMA Show and the three will be competing for a grand prize of $10,000.
