There’s always a good chance that there will be a crash at any motorsport event, especially NASCAR. But there have been few crashes as epic as what happened at Talladega this weekend.
During the last two laps of the race, the final restart had Matt Kenseth out front, but Tony Stewart managed to take the lead just before the white flag dropped. But the lead wouldn’t last long, as Stewart headed into Turn 3 and snagged the rear of his car on Michael Waltrip’s.
The accident caused quite the chaos afterwards, taking out at least 20 other vehicles in the race. Kenseth managed to navigate his way to the win.
