The 2013 version of Ford’s midsize sedan, the Fusion, has just earned a top safety pick designation from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety. 

The 2013 Fusion, which we recently tested, scored top marks in every single category except for one. In side-impact testing, the structure/safety cage scored an acceptable rating, which is the second best rating available.

The 2013 model has the best scores out of any Fusion variant ever. Some safety feature include a front passenger knee airbags, electronic stability control, antilock brakes and daytime running lights.
