The US-spec 2014 Nissan GT-R will be making its official debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of this month, the Japanese automaker has confirmed.

Nissan continues to find ways to improve its formidable sports car offering, and for the 2014 model year promises to improve the mid-range and high-rpm responsiveness of the powerplant thanks to high-output injectors. Other refinements include a new release valve for the turbo bypass, a new oil pan baffle for reduced rotational friction, and more stable oil pressure.

And if the Nissan GT-R didn’t already handle well enough, Nissan has improved chassis rigidity and adjusted the vehicle with new spring and shock settings along with a new front sway bar and cam bolts to improve camber accuracy. To improve reliability in the 2014 model, Nissan engineers have reinforced where the driveshafts meet the hub bearings.
