This year’s LA Auto Show is just a few weeks away and over 50 vehicles are scheduled to be announced or revealed, including the possibility of the Ford Fiesta ST.

One thing noticeable in the LA reference articles is that there’s an unannounced vehicle to be shown off by Ford during the LA Show. During the Ford C-MAX Energi press event, a Ford representative mentioned to AutoGuide that some “big ST news is coming in the next few weeks.”

While the Focus ST was launched earlier this year, the other likely option for the ST treatment is the Fiesta. Furthermore, the LA briefing indicates that the unannounced Ford reveal will be a global vehicle, making the Fiesta a likely choice.

A few months ago AutoGuide.com broke the story that the Fiesta ST was in-fact on its way, but no official announcement has been uttered by Ford themselves.

Some details on the Fiesta ST are still unknown, such as the body style and whether we will get the 5-door hatchback or a 3-door model. However, the Fiesta ST is expected to use Ford’s 1.6-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder, which outputs nearly 180-hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.
